Broccoli, Artichoke & Sardine Salad

This recipe doesn’t need many fresh ingredients, so works well if you can’t face the grocery store.  Keep tinned sardines & jars of artichokes & olives in your cupboard.

Time : 5 minutes


Noggin Fix:

Sardines will give you over 100%* vitamin B-12, 60% omega 3s and almost 50% vitamin D meaning they’re great for helping fatigue.  The other ingredients add up to over 200% vitamin C, 30% B-6 with 15% magnesium and manganese.  Artichokes also have a touch of omega 3s and B-2 so this salad will help co-ordination and dizziness, concentration, memory, emotional issues and insomnia.

Broccoli & Sardine salad

Serves 4



1 x broccoli head, chopped into mouth sized chunks
1/2 jar x artichoke hearts in olive oil, chopped into quarters
1 tin x sardines in tomato sauce, chopped roughly
10 – 15 chilli olives (plain if you prefer is fine), chopped in half
Handful x lettuce leaves (optional)
1/2 x lemon, juice
1 tsp x paprika


  1. Combine broccoli, artichoke hearts, sardines, olives & lettuce leaves into a bowl.
  2. Pour over lemon juice, paprika & olive oil from artichoke hearts.  Mix in well.
